Cutters Creek Design Team Fathers Day Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Cutters Creek Design Team Fathers Day Blog Hop! If you just came from Fran's blog, you are in the right place! If you just happened upon my blog today and you want to hop from the beginning, and play for the Grand Prize you can start from the Cutters Creek Design Team Blog and check out Chris' great project! The objective for our Blog Hop this weekend is to inspire you to create something beautiful for all of the “Fathers” in your life! We have a bit of everything, from cards to gift ideas to layouts about our fathers!

Here is a quick card I did using a clean and simple design but with a masculine look. First I inked the edges of my card with walnut ink. I used a piece of Core'dination Vintage collection for my background paper and then inked the edges of two pieces of cardstock from our Prima Annalee paper pack and put them in a layered, staggered position. The border strip is from our Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe paper pack. Using a clear acrylic stamp, I stamped the quote first in cranberry then in walnut to create a unique color.

Using my eCraft Purpleberry, I cut a 3 inch starburst shape from the Core'dinations cardstock and then a 2 inch starbusrt shape from the Annalee cardstock. I used a piece of fine sandpaper on the edges of the larger starburst to reveal the core color and inked the edges on the smaller one. After adding a brad to the center of the smaller starburst, I used 3D foam dots to adhere it to the larger one. Quick, easy and perfect for that manly man in your life! :)

Now for the details about the Grand Prize I mentioned at the beginning of my post. To qualify you must leave a comment at every stop along the way. Comments should be made by Midnight, June 3rd. We will use Random.org to select a winner so be sure to check back with us on Monday to find out if you have won!
Don't forget to leave a comment here! Thanks for hopping by!!!
