Mousetrap Message Holders!

Hello everyone! I am hosting a swap on sb.com and one of the categories of items to swap are these Mousetrap Message Holders. Now, some of you have probably already heard of these before but they are new to me and I've been having a ball creating these today!
I first stained my background using my homemade  alcohol ink, then I used my Prima Paper Pad-Annalee collection at the bottom as well as the quote at the top. I tore the bottom piece and inked the edges.
I also enhanced the flowers on the paper with Diamond Stickles and Fruit Punch Stickles. I use two gems to cover the holes from where I removed some of the hardware and I also used my Bow Maker to make the perfect little bow to adorn the spring.
To add dimension to the quote, I used Glossy Accents to cover. A couple of more embellishments, and viola! :)

On this next one I stained my background black and decided to go a little masculine. I call this one the "Honey Do List".
I used Graphic 45-Olde Curiosity Shoppe papers, tearing and cutting out symbols and inking the edges. I added Glossy Accents to the word "HONEY" on the bottle to tie into the title Honey Do List!
I also added 5 black Kaisercraft self-adhesive rhinestones as a finishing touch. Everything is set on 3d foam adhesive except for the little piece where your message would go. I put magnets on the back of both so the option to put them on the fridge is there! Thanks for looking! :)

  1. Nope, I've never heard of them, but they look great! I'd be worried about somehow pinching myself with the trap, though!! LOL

    1. Thanks Alison! The tension on them isn't enough to pinch you unless you purposely put your finger under it to be pinched. LOL :)
